Rules and Regulations
1) BINDING AGREEMENT
By participating in the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Bangladesh Championship 2025 (the "Contest"), you agree to abide by these official rules. Non-compliance will result in disqualification.
2) ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Nationality: Participants must be citizens of Bangladesh, verified by a NID, birth certificate, or passport.
- Age: Participants must be 13–22 years old as of June 15, 2025. Minors require parental/guardian consent.
- Student Status: Participants must be actively enrolled in a Educational Institute during the 2024–2025 academic year.
- Exam Category Selection:
- Participants need to register for at least one category:
- Microsoft Word 2019
- Microsoft Excel 2019
- Microsoft PowerPoint 2019
- Participants can compete in multiple categories but must register and pay separately for each (subject to slot availability). Note: If a participant qualifies for more than one category, the participant can only choose one category to compete in the National Round.
- Participants need to register for at least one category:
- Technical Requirements: Participants must have access to Microsoft Office 2019 for training and preparation.

4) REGISTRATION & FEES
- First Round Registration (Campus Round):
- Under vTutor's scholarship program, the registration fee for the championship has been subsidized to only 300 taka.
- Participants can participate in multiple categories.
- Registration is non-refundable, and category changes are not allowed after confirmation.
5) COMPETITION STRUCTURE
- Campus Round (First Round)
- Format:
- Mandatory in-person attendance at the participant's registered campus.
- No rescheduling or remote participation allowed.
- Exam Details:
- Duration: 50 minutes
- Language: English (basic English proficiency required)
- Evaluation: Scored based on accuracy and speed. In case of a tie, completion time will determine ranking.
- Advancement:
- The top 300 participants per category nationwide will qualify for the National Round.
- Format:
- National Round (Second Round – Voucher-Based Exam)
- Format:
- Will be conducted in person at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB).
- Participants will use Microsoft Certified Exam-Simulation software under proctored conditions.
- No rescheduling or category changes allowed after qualification.
- Advancement:
- A participant can register for up to three categories in the University round, but they will be selected for only one category in the National round.
- Top 3 performers from each category will advance to the Final Round.
- Format:
- Final Round (Project-Based Practical Task)
- Format:
- On-site hands-on project using Microsoft Office 2019.
- Judged on technical accuracy, creativity, and adherence to instructions.
- National Champions:
- The top scorer in each category will be crowned as the Bangladesh National Champion and qualify for the Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship 2025 (USA).

6) PRIZES & RECOGNITION
- Final Round Winners (National Champions):
- 1st Place (Per Category): Trophy, Laptop, Certificate, Medal, and fully sponsored trip to the MOS World Championship in the USA.
- 2nd Place (Per Category): 35000 BDT, Medals, certificates, and prizes.
- 3rd Place (Per Category): 25000 BDT, Medals, certificates, and prizes.
- National Round Participants:
- E-certificates of achievement and participation gifts.
- World Championship Representation:
- National Champions must represent Bangladesh at the Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship in the USA (dates to be announced).
- Visa & Travel Logistics: Organizers will sponsor flights and accommodation; participants must comply with visa and travel regulations.
7) GENERAL RULES
- Attendance Policy:
- Participants must be present for all competition rounds. No exceptions will be made for missed rounds.
- Fair Play & Conduct:
- Cheating, plagiarism, or use of unauthorized tools will result in immediate disqualification.
- Use of mobile phone, browsers, external help, smart watch, and all other means, which may provide any unfair advantage will result in disqualification.
- Technical Failures:
- Participants may request a retake if technical failures occur, but the organizers have the full authority to decide accordingly.
- Force Majeure:
- The organizers reserve the right to modify or cancel the contest due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, or other emergencies).
8) LEGAL & DISPUTE RESOLUTION
- Jurisdiction:
- Governed by Bangladeshi law; disputes will be settled in Dhaka courts.
- Data Privacy:
- Complies with Bangladesh’s Digital Security Act 2018. Participant data will be used for championship and academic purposes.
- Intellectual Property:
- Participants grant organizers non-exclusive rights to use event-related materials for marketing and promotional purposes.
